Initially trained in both literary and journalistic translation, Aurélie has translated a wide variety of corporate press releases. She has a Major in English linguistics and is passionate about literature and language - in particular the evolution of language within and between cultures. Drawing from her practical experience as a modern language teacher, she also specialises in the translation of education-related brochures, training materials and other educational resources.

World organisations & NGOs

Aurélie has translated more than 200,000 words for some of the most prestigious world organisations and NGOs. She particularly focuses on women’s rights, maternal and newborn health, malnutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and international aid.

Travel

With close to 5 years of experience in the translation department at HotelClub Pty Ltd, Aurélie has built a solid experience in travel content translation. Nowadays, she particularly focuses on the translation of hotel descriptions and websites, travel blogs, destination guides, attraction brochures and online-related content.

Well-travelled and trilingual, she specialises in the destination Australia, her country of adoption, where she has been living since 2008. She completed part of her Honours degree at the University of Queensland in 2003, specialising in Aboriginal studies and particularly Aboriginal Reconciliation. She wrote her Master’s degree thesis on Australian historiography with a focus on the Eureka Stockade.

Business & technology

Thanks to many years experience in multinational companies, Aurélie has expertise in a wide variety of business-related translations including e-mail and letter translations, job descriptions, invoices and quotes, training materials and presentations, and corporate press releases.
She has performed translations for major office software providers and can help you with the localisation of your business app or software. She particularly focuses on mobile business and technology.

E-marketing, e-retail and SEO

Aurélie has translated a wide range of marketing materials including email campaigns, online newsletters, promotional landing pages, banners and infographics as well as customer satisfaction surveys for a variety of clients either onsite - liaising directly with the client’s marketing department - or remotely. Understanding the importance of tone and style, she can help you transcreate the right message for your campaign and targeted audience. Finally, beyond translation, she has hands-on experience in SEO and can assist you in translating or creating French keywords and SEO-focused articles.
